Our first Spring-like severe weather outbreak in the Shreveport area is possible Thursday afternoon into Thursday night.
According to our news partners at KTAL NBC 6, it is looking increasingly likely that we will have significant severe weather Thursday. A strong cold front will move into the ArkLaTex late Thursday afternoon when the ingredients usually line up best for severe weather. Intense wind shear with the front will bring the threat of widespread damaging wind gusts, a few tornadoes of which a few could be strong, as well as very large hail. This severe weather threat will continue into Thursday night before ending prior to sunrise Friday.
