This week, one of my absolute favorite restaurants in town announced their upcoming closure.

Anyone who knows me knows I love Japanese cuisine; I would eat hibachi every day of the week if I could. Living in Shreveport in the Broadmoor area, Jabez & Jabes is my go-to stop for sushi and/or hibachi.

I certainly didn’t see this coming, but this week, Jabez & Jabes announced that they’ll shut their doors for good next month. The good news, if there is any, is that we all still get to enjoy this wonderful restaurant a little while longer, as their closing date is set for December 23rd.

Without question, Jabez & Jabes had quite a run on Youree Drive, lasting nearly a decade.

“All of us from Jabez would like to say thank you to all of you who have supported our restaurant since we opened over 8 years ago! Throughout the years we have been so blessed to have met such amazing people and make new friends. We will be closing permanently on December 23rd. With that being said, we hope to see all of you again while we’re still open! If you have gift cards please try to redeem them before we close. Thank you for all the support Shreveport, we will truly miss each and everyone one of you.”

Shreveport will miss Jabez & Jabes, thank you for the eight years!
