This is easily one of the wildest stories you’ll read this week.
A woman in Oklahoma was walking along the side of the street, when all of a sudden, the unthinkable happened… She fell deep into a large hole next to the street and found herself completely stranded.
As of this writing, I do not have the exact dimensions of the hole. I can say this; This hole had to be not only extremely wide, but extremely deep. The distracted woman took one wrong step into this mysterious hole and fell deep enough that she could not climb back out. To make matters worse, this hole is literally a couple of feet away from a busy street, so it made it extremely difficult for anyone to hear her cries for help.
According to KSLA, she was stuck in that hole for hours before a couple who were walking nearby heard for shouting for help. The couple made contact with the woman inside the hole, and phones the local authories. The responders were able to help the woman out of the hole, after quite the dramatic experience.
Major David Richardson with the Midwest City Fire Department, says, “Our technical rescue crews were able to lasso a rope essentially around her and pull her up out of the hole.” He continued with good news, saying, “We got her out. She appears to be fairly stable, with no major injuries that we could detect immediately on scene, but we’re sending her to the hospital for a full evaluation.”
