There were nine other finalists that didn’t get enough votes from toy industry experts, historians, and the general public to make it into the Hall of Fame this year.
They are: Battleship . . . billiards . . . Cabbage Patch Kids . . . the Fisher-Price Corn Popper . . . Mahjong . . . Masters of the Universe toys . . . the piñata . . . The Settlers of Catan . . . and toy fire engine.
Last year’s inductees were Jenga . . . sidewalk chalk . . . and Baby Nancy, which debuted in 1968 and was one of the first popular African American dolls.
